30ml | unisex

An eye cream for fine lines, crow's feet and tired-looking eyes that uses retinal rather than retinol. Retinal works more directly on the skin than retinol, which makes it a good first step into retinoids, even on an area as delicate as the eye contour.

Who it's for: skin from 30 onwards that's starting to show fine lines and a loss of firmness around the eyes, and anyone who wants an effective anti-ageing active without paying luxury-cream prices.

What's inside

  • Liposomal retinal (4% complex): encapsulated so it releases gradually and is less likely to irritate.
  • Bakuchiol: a plant-based alternative to retinol that supports firmness.
  • Fermented bean extract: helps elasticity and radiance.
  • Niacinamide: evens out the look of dark circles and supports the skin barrier.

How to use: after toner and serum, pat a rice-grain amount along the orbital bone with your ring finger, keeping away from the lash line. Follow with your moisturiser. New to retinoids? Start 2–3 evenings a week, then use it every evening or morning and evening once your skin is used to it. Wear sunscreen during the day. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Sakumi tip: give it 4–8 weeks of regular use to see a difference. It pairs well with the Seoul 1988 Snail Mucin 97% + Rice Essence, which keeps skin comfortable while it gets used to retinal.
